## How it works

1. A maker signs in (email magic link or X OAuth) and opens /commit.
2. They name the product, write a one-liner, pick a date 2–21 days out, and choose a stake $25–$2000.
3. Stripe Checkout charges the full stake. The board stays empty of that row until the webhook confirms payment.
4. The live card shows countdown, stake, name, and cheer/share actions.
5. After 24 hours on the board, and before the UTC deadline, they submit a live public https URL as proof. Loom or GitHub is required at $250+.
6. On time: refund minus 6%, badge, prize-pool share (unless 3 reports hold it). Late or missing: full stake into the weekly pool.

### Who is ShipOrDie for?

Solo founders, vibe-coders, and indie makers who want a public deadline with real money on the line. It is not a freelance marketplace, not a launch calendar, and not a paper-promise tracker.

### How much can I stake?

Stakes are $25–$2000 in whole US dollars, paid in full up front through Stripe Checkout. Cards only. Nothing is public until Stripe confirms payment.

### How long is the ship window?

The target date must be 2–21 days from now. The deadline is the end of that UTC day. You may have only one active commitment at a time.

### What happens if I ship on time?

The stake is refunded minus a 6% platform fee. You get a permanent On-Time Shipper badge and a slice of that week's prize pool.

### What happens if I miss the ship date?

The full stake goes into the weekly prize pool and your on-time streak dies. There is no partial credit after the UTC deadline.

### How does the weekly prize pool work?

Every Monday, the previous week's failed stakes are split among that week's uncontested successful shippers (weighted by original stake). 3 reports hold a ship out of the split until an admin reviews it.

### What proof do I need to submit?

A live public https URL, submitted after the stake has been live for 24 hours and on or before the UTC deadline. Repos, social posts, localhost, and recycled URLs do not count. Loom or GitHub is required at $250+ and when the live URL matches your placeholder. Community Report fake still applies.

### Can I restake a product I already shipped?

No. You cannot restake a product you already shipped. Founders cannot cheer or report themselves. Admins can remove junk and reverse fake outcomes.
